About Dave Burbage

I was born in Riverside NJ in 1971, lived in Edgewater Park, NJ until age 12 when I moved to Woodstown, NJ.  After graduating from Woodstown High School in 1989, I attended West Virginia University, when I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science.

Work experience includes being the General Manager of two different fitness equipment companies, and I am currently the President / Owner of Main Street Fitness in Historic Woodstown NJ.  I also do consulting work for a number of different companies, including Dynamic Fitness, and C4 Labs.  As additional means of income, I broker cars, trucks, motorcycles and fitness equipment.

Woodstown is a very special place for me, I have lived here since 1983, and I take great pride in our community.  My business offers discounts to the local schools, and businesses.  We are also big supporters of Military, Law Enforcement, and First Responders, and offer discounts to them as well.  Through Main Street Fitness, as well as personally, I donate to every local charity that requests donations.  Regardless of season, I do whatever I can for community service and beautification.  I shovel the entire block when it snows.  I always think, “what if someone were to fall and get hurt because I was too lazy to shovel a few extra feet?”  A few extra feet turns into the entire block.  In the nicer weather, if I see a local yard along the main roads that is not kept up, I assume someone is sick or out of town, and I will often cut their grass for them without even knocking on the door.

My hobbies include spending time with my father in the PA mountains, hunting, shooting, and fishing.  I am also an avid motorsports enthusiast, as I still ride dirtbikes, atv’s and my beloved Yamaha R1 streetbike.  I raced BMX bikes competitively in the mid-80’s, and I still collect and show vintage bicycles.  C4 labs belongs to a close friend of mine.  I do consulting and quality control for them, but I do it primarily for the love of the hobby.

I have taken it upon myself to start my own page which I threw together hastily, but intend to update it, refine it, and also include links to all of my profiles on linkedin, facebook, bmxmuseum, instagram, twitter, etc……  If you are interested in knowing more about me, please read on.  Or simply ask me.  Networking through the internet is a very valuable business tool, but can also lead you in wrong directions.  Sometimes it is best to go to the source.
